I am not going to reveal anything about #1 bestseller (and Oprah choice) FREEDOM by Jonathan Franzen. Suffice it to say that the New York Times book review by Sam Tanenhaus called it "a classic of American fiction" and, honest to God, that praise was mild compared to most major reviews. Personally, I found the book to be the best fiction work I have read in decades and, not meaning to brag, I read a lot of fiction. The characters in the book will stay with me forever.
